Commercial Epoxy Flooring
Commercial epoxy flooring has to take traffic, cleaning and inspection, and it has to go in without closing a business for a week.
View Commercial Epoxy FlooringChemical resistant and containment epoxy flooring is specified against what the floor has to survive rather than what it has to look like. It covers battery charging bays, chemical stores, tank rooms, plating and processing areas, and bunded containment where a spill has to be held rather than drained.
We install this epoxy flooring across Greater Sudbury for industrial, mining supply and municipal buildings. Every job is fully insured.

There is no single epoxy flooring that resists everything. Acids, alkalis, solvents, fuels and oxidisers attack resin systems in different ways, and a general-purpose floor put into a chemical area will soften, blister or discolour within months.
So the specification starts with a list. Tell us what is stored, used and spilled in the room, at what concentration and how often, and the system follows from that. Where an exposure is genuinely aggressive we will say that a coating is the wrong answer and that the room needs a different solution.
Containment epoxy flooring is only as good as its weakest joint. The floor, the upstand and the junction between them are installed as one continuous system with a coved fillet at the base, so there is no seam for liquid to find.
The upstand is carried to the height the volume requires, and penetrations through the bund are sealed as part of the work rather than afterwards. A bund with a pipe running through an unsealed sleeve is not a bund.
Battery charging bays see sulphuric acid, and the damage to the epoxy flooring shows as pitting under the chargers where nobody looks. Those areas get an acid-resistant build and a colour that makes a spill visible rather than hiding it.
Plating and processing rooms are the same argument at a larger scale, usually with drainage detail and a fall to a collection point built into the specification.
A chemical area is usually one an inspector will look at. The written specification names the system, the thickness and what it resists, which is the document to hand over when somebody asks.
The finish is chosen so that it can be cleaned and inspected. A surface that hides a spill is a liability in this kind of room, and the commercial epoxy flooring page covers the wider hygiene and inspection side.
Call +1 705-242-8237 or send the form below with the room, the rough area and a list of what is used in it. We will specify against it and put a fixed price in writing. The rest of what we install is on the Sudbury Epoxy Floors home page.

Sudbury runs on heavy industry, and heavy industry runs on industrial epoxy flooring that takes a beating. Forklifts, pallet jacks, steel stock, hydraulic oil and wash-down all land on the same floor.
View Industrial and Warehouse Flooring
Mining and heavy industry epoxy flooring is built for buildings where steel gets dragged, parts get dropped and oil lands on the floor daily. It is the heaviest epoxy flooring specification we install, and in this city it is also the most common commercial request.

Line marking and safety coatings put aisle lines, walkways, hazard hatching and bay numbers into the epoxy flooring between coats, so they finish flush and sit protected under the clear top coat. Painted or taped lines on top of a finished floor do not last a season under pallet traffic.

Loading dock and ramp coating is the heaviest epoxy flooring in the building, covering the apron inside the door, the leveller pit, the ramp and the approach, which together take more abuse than anywhere else. It is a heavy build with a textured finish, specified for grip in the wet.

Commercial kitchen and food processing flooring is a urethane-based system rather than standard epoxy flooring, because it has to take hot water, steam cleaning, animal fats and organic acids without softening or lifting. This epoxy flooring goes in with a coved base at every wall so the room can be washed down properly.

Healthcare and institutional epoxy flooring is a seamless resin floor for clinics, veterinary practices, laboratories, schools, long-term care and municipal buildings, where the requirement is a surface that can be properly disinfected and that stays quiet and clean underfoot.

Concrete floor coating and epoxy flooring cover everything a bare slab can become: garage, basement, workshop, porch, mechanical room, shop floor or storage bay. Same principle every time, different system depending on what the floor has to survive.

Polyaspartic floor coating is a fast-curing resin that goes down in far colder conditions than standard epoxy flooring and does not yellow in sunlight. In a city with a long deep winter, that is not a luxury feature.

If your garage floor is peeling, bubbling, lifting at the tire tracks or coming away in sheets, it can almost always be fixed. It usually cannot be fixed by coating over it.

Flake epoxy flooring is the system most Sudbury garages and basements end up with. An epoxy base coat is rolled onto ground concrete, coloured vinyl chips are broadcast into it while it is wet, and a clear top coat locks everything down.

Metallic epoxy flooring is a poured decorative finish. Metallic pigments are moved through a clear resin while it is wet, producing depth, movement and a marbled effect that no two floors repeat.

Garage epoxy flooring seals the slab so the salt, brine and sand that come off a Sudbury vehicle never reach the concrete. That is the whole point of it in this city.
View Garage Floor Coating
Coating a basement slab takes a cold, dusty floor and makes it part of the house. The concrete gets sealed, the grey powder stops, and the surface will carry furniture, gym equipment and daily traffic.

Outdoor epoxy flooring seals a porch, patio, walkway or enclosed sunroom against the weather and gives it grip, colour and a finished edge.
