Why We Do Not Travel

Plenty of coating companies cover half of Ontario and drive to whatever job comes in. That model has a cost the customer pays for.

It means quoting floors in a climate you do not install in often. It means specifying epoxy in November because that is what worked in a warmer city.

Sudbury has its own problems: five months below freezing, heavy winter sand, road brine, blasted-rock basements and a lot of unheated detached garages. A system that is fine in southern Ontario is not automatically fine here.

Staying in one city means every floor we install teaches us something about the next one.

What You Get In Writing

The floor is measured and moisture tested before a number is given, and the written scope names the surface preparation, the primer, the build thickness, the top coat, any line marking and the cure times.

That document is what the work is carried out to, and it is what an insurer or an inspector wants to see if they ever ask. Every job is fully insured.

It also means the quote reflects what the job actually takes. A floor priced off a photograph is a floor with a second conversation coming once the grinder is running.

How We Quote

We come and look at the floor. There is no meaningful way to price concrete from a photograph.

We take a moisture reading. On a Sudbury basement, and on any slab at or below grade, this is the measurement that decides whether a coating will hold.

We check for old coatings, sound out the cracks, look at the spalling and measure the space.

Then you get a written quote: system, thickness, colour, preparation method, timeline and cure times. One number, fixed. Nothing gets added once the work starts.

What We Will Tell You Not To Do

We turn work down, and we would rather do that than take a deposit on a floor that will fail.

If your slab is pushing more moisture than a primer can handle, a coating will lift. We will say so.

If a crack is still moving, that is concrete work before it is coating work.

If your garage cannot be brought into temperature range in February, we will book you for spring rather than install into conditions that will not bond.

And if a recoat will do the job, we will quote the recoat rather than the full installation, even though the full installation is worth more to us.

Materials And Method

Diamond grinding on every job. Not acid etching, not pressure washing, not a chemical prep.

Full crack chasing and patching before any resin goes down.

Flake systems with a polyaspartic top coat as the default, because in this climate the top coat is doing the hard work.

Written cure times handed over at the end, so you know when to walk on the floor and when to park on it.
